Bringing Poster Art To Life All of the original detail of the original poster is captured in hand painted; quality cold cast resin. Each element of this 1980 release has been replicated with precision sculpting. The Empire Strikes Back Style A One Sheet represents the very best in relief artistry. The sculpture is fraught with details from Vader’s mask to the images of R2-D2, CP-30 and Chewbacca. Several techniques were tried when creating the master to get the paint just right and capture the essence of the original poster art. Much care was taken in bring this poster in to the Legendary Cast 3D format. A Coveted Poster The much sought after Empire Strikes Back Style A One Sheet hit theaters in May 1980. This is a coveted poster that had limited circulation. It is rumored that this artwork was pulled because Billy Dee Williams was unhappy that Lando was not in the artwork. This design was quickly replaced by the much more common Style B, which incorporated Lando in the art work. Gone With The Wind? The Style A One Sheet was painted by Roger Kastel. His inspiration came from Tom Jung’s 1967 re-release poster for Gone With The Wind. This version of Empire Strikes Back poster is often referred to as the Gone With The Wind Style.
